What does "Cargo-Worthy" actually look like? Will it be rusty or have dents?

Yes, it likely will, and that's part of its character. Our guiding principle is function over finish. We guarantee a Cargo-Worthy container is wind and water-tight with solid floors and working doors. The color, amount of surface rust, and number of dents will vary. It's a tough, functional box that offers unbeatable value.

Are the containers guaranteed to be weatherproof?
What's the difference between "One-Trip" and "Cargo-Worthy" containers?
Can I pick the exact container or color I want?
What's the difference between a Standard container and a High Cube?

Absolutely. Every container we sell, whether One-Trip or Cargo-Worthy, is guaranteed to be wind and water-tight. We ensure the door seals and structure are solid, so your property will stay safe and dry from the Gulf Coast weather.

A One-Trip container is the newest and cleanest you can get. It's made a single journey from its overseas factory. A Cargo-Worthy container is a retired veteran of the shipping industry. It will show cosmetic signs of its working life (dents, surface rust) but is inspected and guaranteed to be structurally sound and weatherproof. Think of it as a brand-new work truck versus a proven, reliable used one—both get the job done right.

Because we source our containers directly from the shipping depots to keep your price as low as possible, we can't offer a selection of specific units or colors. This model allows us to find the best available unit that meets our quality standards at the best price on any given day.

One foot of height. A High Cube (HC) container is 9'6" tall, while a Standard is 8'6" tall. That extra foot provides more vertical storage and comfortable headroom, making High Cubes a popular choice for workshops or storing taller equipment.

What kind of projects are Flat Racks used for?
What are "Reefer" (refrigerated) containers good for?

A "Reefer" is a high-performance insulated container. Its biggest advantage is the thick foam insulation and stainless-steel interior, which keeps it dramatically cooler inside during the Texas summer. This makes them the ultimate solution for climate-sensitive storage or a workshop, even without the cooling machinery running. We can also source fully operational units.

Flat Racks are heavy-duty steel platforms designed for oversized or extremely heavy loads. While used for transporting machinery, their most popular application around here is as a simple, incredibly strong foundation for private bridges across creeks and gullies on farms and ranches.

The best way is to fill out our online quote request form. Provide the container size, type, and your full delivery address, and we'll get back to you with a straightforward, no-hassle price.

What information do you need from me to place an order?
Why do your prices seem to change from day to day?

The container market is a lot like a stock market; global supply and demand cause prices at the depots to fluctuate daily. Our prices reflect the most current market rate, ensuring you're getting a fair, up-to-date price without hidden markups.

We'll need your full name, a contact phone number, your billing address, and the complete, verifiable delivery address where the container will be placed.

What forms of payment do you accept?
How much space do you really need to deliver a container?
What is your delivery area?

We accept all major credit cards, bank transfers, and certified checks.

A lot! Our truck and 40ft trailer need a clear path at least 12 feet wide with 14 feet of vertical clearance. For the final drop-off, we need about 100 feet of straight-line room for a 20ft container and 120 feet for a 40ft container. Please see our detailed Delivery Page for a full checklist.

We deliver to any accessible site within a 300-mile radius of Houston, TX. We do not ship or deliver out of state.

Can you move a container I already own?
Do I need to be at the property for the delivery?
How soon can you deliver my container after I order it?

Delivery times vary, but we typically schedule them within 5-10 business days after your payment has cleared. We will give you a specific delivery window when you place your order.

Yes. We require you or a designated representative (18 or older) to be on-site to confirm the drop location and sign off on the delivery.

Currently, our delivery service is only for containers that we sell. We do not offer transport-only services.

Does my container need a foundation? What should I put under it?
What do I need to do to prepare my property for delivery?

The site must be cleared, firm, dry, and as level as possible. Please ensure the access path and drop zone meet our clearance requirements before our driver arrives.

A container can be placed directly on firm, level ground. However, for long-term placement, we recommend a foundation for airflow and to ensure it stays level. A gravel pad, concrete blocks, or railroad ties are all excellent options.

Can you add a door or windows to my container?

Yes. We partner with the local experts at Gulf Coast Containers for a full range of custom modifications, including doors, windows, vents, and custom layouts. We can coordinate this as part of your purchase.

What are the most important accessories for a new container owner?
Will you level the container for me? Do you provide blocks?
Do you rent containers, or are they for purchase only?
Do I need to insulate my container?

A heavy-duty lock is essential. We also highly recommend adding passive vents to let the container breathe and keep the interior fresh. Scout has a full list of trusted gear on his Scout's Accessories page.

We do not provide blocks or other foundation materials. If you have them ready on-site, our driver will be happy to assist you with placing the container on them. The final, precise leveling of the container is your responsibility.

We specialize in selling containers. Our focus is on providing you with a permanent, long-term asset that you own outright. This gives you the freedom to modify it, move it when you want, and get a lifetime of use without being tied to a rental agreement or monthly payments.

It depends on your use. For storing durable goods, you may not need it. But if you plan to use it as a workshop, office, or for anything sensitive to heat and humidity, we strongly recommend it. Insulation makes a huge difference in comfort and protects your belongings from the Texas heat. We do offer Reefer units that are already insulated.

Do I need a permit to put a container on my property?

That's a great question, and the answer depends entirely on your local city, county, and any HOA rules. Because regulations vary so much from one area to the next, it is the customer's responsibility to check with their local planning or zoning office to see what rules may apply. We strongly recommend confirming this before you schedule your delivery.

What kind of maintenance does a container need after I buy it?

Containers are incredibly low-maintenance. To keep yours in top shape for decades, we recommend a few simple things: lubricate the door hinges and locking bars once or twice a year to keep them swinging easily, and occasionally sweep any leaves or debris off the roof to prevent moisture from sitting in one spot. That's usually all it takes.
